Emotional Overwhelm
Emotional overwhelm occurs when everything feels overwhelming. This could arise from too many feelings, decisions, responsibilities, or expectations all crashing in at once. It often leads to shutdown, procrastination, or emotional eating as a way to cope. In a fitness journey, this can manifest as bursts of energy followed by prolonged periods of disengagement. You may feel like you’re constantly “behind” or drowning in pressure. Overwhelm isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a signal to slow down, simplify, and take one step at a time. You don’t need to fix everything. You need to keep moving forward gradually.
